Ellen Lyle

Ellen is a recent graduate of Emory University with highest honors in Dance and Movement Studies. She has been fortunate to perform the works of choreographers José Limon, David Dorfman and David Neumann. Ellen began creating work in 2006, and her choreography has received much recognition since then, including being selected to be performed at the American College Dance Festival in 2009. In 2007 and 2009 she received scholarships to attend the American Dance Festival, training in modern, ballet, hip-hop and the repertory of New York modern company Shen Wei Dance Arts. In 2009, Lyle established ellen lyle / open collision dance, a dance collaborative which aims to exhibit emerging artists and broaden the Atlanta dance community. She is constantly working to create and find connections between her own work and the everyday lives of people around her, aiming to place service at the core of the work.
